Friends of The Hill - Welcome!
Grown from the passion of the community of Harry Brown’s Farm, Friends of The Hill is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. We support activities that enrich cultural and artistic experiences for people in central Maine and beyond. Our dues-paying membership and fundraising support arts and cultural programming for the public.
In 2026, Friends of The Hill is host to the Good Vibes Flea Market in the spring and the Holiday Craft Fair at the end of the year. At The Happening 2026, the organization supported performances by Liz Bills and David Pontbriand, along with a Cacao Ceremony facilitated by Songbird. Fundraising efforts also included operating the Flower Power Café at the Annual Members Meeting.

How Members Participate
Voting
Members are invited to vote at the Annual Meeting and throughout the year to select officers and board members. Throughout the year, members may be asked to vote on motions that impact the future activities of Friends of The Hill.
Fundraising
Join a working group for the Holiday Craft Fair or Hippie Flea Market—planning, set-up, day-of help, or tear-down. Many hands make it lighter, and it’s a beautiful way to meet people.
Building Community
Help with membership recruitment and community-building activities at the Friends of The Hill tent at The Happening 2027. Sign up new members, share details about ongoing activities, and help people feel at home.
Gather as Members
Join our members-only Annual Meeting Gathering on The Hill in August. Come for a day of art activities, shared meals, music at night, and camping. Take this mid-summer opportunity to reconnect and celebrate what we’re building together.
Help Shape the Future
Members can nominate individuals or groups for grants and awards, suggest ideas for projects, and help us decide what Friends of The Hill grows into next.
Ready to Renew?
Friends of The Hill memberships run for a calendar year. Members can renew their membership online. Your dues support the mission of the organization and show that the membership is engaged. Whether you volunteer regularly, attend when you can, or help shape ideas behind the scenes, there is a place for you as an active member of Friends of The Hill.
