Camping on The Hill

Camp under the stars at The Happening

Set Up Camp

Escape to Maine and camp on Harry’s Hill under the stars. Nestled in the woods of central Maine, campsites offers a natural retreat with plenty of shaded spots. All campsites are under the canopy of the trees. No baking in an open field at first light.

RV Options

Limited RV sites are available available if you like to bring the comforts of home. More information on RV tickets can be found here.

Campfires

Campfires are allowed at your campsite in an above-ground container. Please do not bring firewood from out-of-state or construct an in-ground firepit. Firewood is available from trees harvested on-site.

Driving from Portland, ME

(approximately 1.5 hours)

  • Follow I-95 N to Augusta 57 mi
  • Take exit 112B 
  • Follow ME-27 N 24 mi
  • Turn left onto US-2 W 1 mi
  • Turn right onto ME-134 N 8 mi
  • Turn left onto ME-43 W 0.4 mi
  • Turn right onto Abijah Hill Rd

Driving from Bangor, ME

(approximately 1.5 hours)

  • Follow I-95 S to Newport 34  mi
  • Take exit 150 for Somerset Ave toward Pittsfield/Burnham 
  • Turn right onto Somerset Ave 0.5 mi
  • Turn right onto Phillips Corner Rd 2.5 mi
  • Turn left onto US-2 W 15 mi
  • Turn right onto US-201 N/Madison Ave 4 mi
  • Turn left onto ME-148 W 6 mi
