Crowd gathers at The Happening 2026

Waking up to The Happening 2026

A 4/20 Tradition Approaches

Momentum is building for The Happening 2026. Over 30 musicians and more than a dozen live artists are ready to come to The Hill. The fest is filling in as artists, vendors, and crews lock in their plans for the weekend. There isn’t much left to fill.

There might be three stages and a packed schedule, but you are free to choose your own adventure. Maybe as the champion camper, up early making banana pancakes with whoever’s around. Or it could be the nocturnal raver, sleeping till the sun goes down. By Saturday night of The Happening 2026, you’ll have found your people.

What’s been building behind the scenes won’t stay that way much longer. The haze is clearing and the full picture is about to come into view. Gates open to The Happening 2026 in 60 days, but next week we start to see the soundtrack.

Community Art Projects

Give, take, create

As time is claimed for musical artists on the stages, so is space out in the field. Vendors are locking into their spots, menus are being created, and wire is being wrapped this spring. Clothes, mocktails, gems, fries and giant hotdogs, ceramics and yes, ice for sale. The promenade is shaping up, though there may still be room for one or two more at The Happening 2026.

Alongside the music, the Live Artist community is forming for The Happening 2026. Paint goes up on canvas and murals, bubbles move through the crowd, and glass melts on The Hill. Artists find each other and start building things together. Some pieces take shape over the full weekend, others appear and disappear just as fast. Art on the stages and art in the field, filling in the rest of the picture as it comes into view.
